TollPlus can now count Canara Bank among its bank clients in India. TollPlus won a competitive bid process in mid-October to implement its Central Electronic Back Office (CEBA) issuing system along with providing IT/hosting services and operations support including application and help desk. The purpose of the Request for Proposal was to enable Canara Bank to select a vendor for the supply, personalization, and delivery of RFID FASTags for the National Electronic Toll Collection (NETC) project and end-to-end NETC issuing module management. Specific functionality to be supported by the TollPlus solution includes the maintenance and issuance of FASTag inventory; maintenance of customer accounts, black/white tag lists, and road user and point-of-sale portals; receipt, posting, and reconciliation of transactions to customer accounts; and the capability to receive customer disputes. The system went live on November 19 and the operations and maintenance phase commenced immediately afterward for a period of seven (7) years.
